3/7/2017

Comments

These recipes are from Jason Vale's book 5lbs in 5 DAYS.
First, let me give you an idea of how your day will look.  These times are flexible depending on when you wake up. If you are preparing your juices to take to work.  Drink your lemon/ginger hydration while preparing your other juices to take with you.  Remember to double the recipe for Juice 2 and 3 if you won't be home by 4:00.  Try to store them sealed and chilled in mason jars until you are ready to enjoy them.

Day 1

9:55 am Lemon/Ginger Drink (recipe is under juices in this blog)

10am     Juice 1: Turbo...with a Kick!

1pm       Juice 2:  The Natural Energizer

4 pm     Juice 3:  The Natural Energizer

7 pm     Juice 4:  Turbo...with a Kick!

Any time  Herbal Teas

Any time   Hunger SOS (optional, in case of emergency!)

Day 1:  Juice 1 & 4:  Turbo...with a Kick!
Ingredients:

Picture
2 organic apples
1/4 medium pineapple (I use Kirkland pineapple chunks from Costco)
1 handful of spinach (I put this directly in my Nutribullet.)
1/2 a lime, cut the peel off
1/2 stick of celery
3 cm chunk cucumber
1 cm chunk ginger
1/4 medium avocado - leave the pit in and store the rest in the refrigerator.  The pit keeps it from browning.
1 small handful of ice cubes (purified water)  I don't bother with the ice if there is a frozen ingredient in it already.

I put the frozen pineapple, spinach, avocado and lime in the Nutribullet (or blender).  The apples, celery, cucumber and ginger goes through the juicer. The juice goes directly into the Nutribullet glass and I mix all ingredients together in the Nutribullet.
