Upside-Down Coffee

The Gerson Institute's coffee enema:

I watched a documentary on FMTV called  'The Gerson Miracle'.  The Gerson Institute has had incredible success in treating cancer.  Basically, the theory is that if you eliminate toxins and greatly increase nutrients, you can heal disease.
One method that they use is a coffee enema.  I wrote down the recipe and tried it on myself today.  The benefit of a coffee enema is that it stimulates the liver to produce bile which helps with the release of bile.   I have taken the following excerpts from a paper called 'Scientific Basis of Coffee Enemas' which I found online from the Gerson Institute.  To read the complete paper, use your search engine using this title.  It is an interesting and referenced read.

Coffee enemas are a vital part of the detoxification process of the Gerson Therapy.  The purpose of the enemas is to remove toxins accumulated in the liver and to remove free radicals from the blood stream...the caffeine...opens up the bile ducts and allows the liver to release bile, which contains toxins.
...coffee administered rectally also stimulates an enzyme system in the liver called glutathione S-transferase by 600%-700% above normal activity levels.  This enzyme reacts with free radicals (which cause cell damage) in the bloodstream and makes them inert.  These neutralized substances become dissolved in the bile...A Gerson patient holds the coffee enema in the colon for 12-15 minutes.  During this time, the body's entire blood supply passes through the liver 4-5 times, carrying poisons picked up from the tissues.  So the enema acts as a form of dialysis of the blood across the gut wall.

Okay, here's what you will need:
  • an enema kit (I got mine from Central Drugs quite reasonably)
  • A pot for the water
  • A coffee filter (unbleached) and an individual coffee maker (those things you put on top of a coffee cup for one cup of coffee)
  • A funnel to transfer the filtered coffee into the enema bag.
  • A little natural oil to lubricate your anus.
  • Towels and a pillow so you can lay down in the bathroom.
  • A towel rack to hang the enema bag from so you can rely on gravity.
  • A timer that you can set for 15 minutes.
  • A book or something to help you pass the time in a relaxed state.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart distilled water (you can buy it at any pharmacy in the water section)
  • organic coffee (NOT decaf...the secret is in the caffeine!) I get the beans and grind them fresh.
Steps:
  • Bring 1 quart (4 cups) distilled water to a boil.
  • Add coffee and boil for 3 minutes.
  • Simmer for 10 more minutes.
  • Cool to room temperature
  • Strain into a measuring cup.
  • Use funnel to put in the enema bag.
  • Lie on your right side with knees slightly bent.
  • Administer enema and hold inside for 12-15 minutes then expel (preferably on the toilet!)
  • Relax for about an hour afterwards before going shopping in white pants.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I tried this today and feel really good.  If you are suffering from a chronic degenerative disease consider checking out the Gerson Therapy online.  To improve your health knowledge in general check out FMTV.
